What to do and see…

Activities include boat trips to Popa Falls where you can easily spot hippos and crocodiles. An early morning breakfast cruise or sundowner boat cruise on our 14 meter Alluminium boat whilst breathing the Okavango is an absolute must. We can take you on an exciting Mokoro or Wato trip on the river, enjoy being 'pole' motored in this traditional hand dug canoe. Of course for the more adventurous guests we readily offer some freshwater tiger and breem fishing, more canoeing or kayaking, or take a guided village tour to visit the Mbukushu tribe.

Always have your camera or binoculars on standby for around 330 bird species have been recorded in and around Rainbow River Lodge. However, our beautiful lodge not only offers you birds, you will also spot some game at the surrounding Mahango and Buffalo Parks and might even catch a glimpse of 4 of the big 5 (African Elephant, Cape Buffalo, African Leopard and African Lion) during a visit to one of our adjacent parks. Many spectacular nature scenes await you; take some of our beauty back on film.
