The Rainbow Tribe

Where our story begins...

Rainbow River Lodge was established in 2003. The lodge started out with campsites, a small bar / restaurant and wooden deck overlooking the river. After two years, in 2005, the lodge expanded and consisted of 20 camp sites, 22 chalets, 7 superior chalets, a beautiful swimming pool and restaurant overlooking the Okavango River. Since then the lodge went from strength to strength. In June of 2015, Deon bought the lodge from Johan and Corrie Bean. Deon made a few changes and upgraded the lodge to welcome and make guests feel more at home.

Our lodge has a rich family history and we as owners, managers and staff strive to give the best warm hearted stay and welcome to our guests. We hope you come as strangers and leave as friends.

When the first rooms were finished she was given the position as housekeeping. She is the supervisor of 4 employees. Since Angelika started working she could send her children to school without financial difficulty and they won’t go hungry to bed. She is always very glad to live a good life.
